Maternity Alliance


Summary:

Maternity Action was established in 2008 and will take forward the work of Maternity Alliance as well as responding to new and emerging needs amongst pregnant women, new mothers and their families. 

During its 25 years of operations, Maternity Alliance championed maternity and equalities.  The organisation closed in 2005.

ME – Bedfordshire ME Support Group


Summary:

The Group offers membership to all Bedfordshire M.E sufferers, their families, carers and friends, of all ages. The Group provides:

  • Regular meetings
  • A telephone helpline
  • Help by email
  • Information for newly diagnosed sufferers
  • Contact with National and other M.E. organisations
  • News of medical developments
  • Guidance on benefits
  • Increased awareness of M.E. for the community and healthcare providers

ME – National ME Centre


Summary:

The Centre offered a unique blend of help, care and support to sufferers and their families. It was a fully integrated service for the management of this complex illness. The multi-disciplinary team included professional clinicians and therapists, ie occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nutritionist, and counsellor.
